Bay Area Clarity provides a variety of therapeutic services to the Tampa Bay area. Tina Clayton is board licensed with the State of Florida and holds both her Bachelors and Masters degree from Florida State University.
Tina is also currently working towards her Psychology PhD in Cognition as she believes the quest and desire for learning maximizes any clinician's skill set as science is ever-evolving. Ms. Clayton has worked in the field of social advocacy and therapeutic counseling in both community and clinical settings. Her career has ranged from consulting for private and federal sectors in critical incident response, consulting for large Fortune 500 companies with crisis intervention/management support/manager consultations, critical incident deescalation leads, outpatient psychotherapist, inpatient psychiatric hospital, crisis stabilization unit, health & wellness education, substance abuse rehabilitation unit / detox facility, end of life care on a long-term skilled nursing unit with our veterans at the VA hospital, crisis hotline, child and family mental health agency, and an agency for mental disabilities and special needs. Tina is well versed in presenting and speaking globally and regionally; as a keynote speaker, guest speaker, and expert panelist speaker for Fortune 500 / Top 100 companies. Working with so many different populations within one field has created strong clinical skills and has allowed her to build knowledge of physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of any population that she treats. She is comfortable and skilled treating children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Furthermore, Ms. Clayton has used clinical judgment to spearhead case evaluations, psychological profiles, and develop treatment plans for patients and their families. Her extensive, broad range of experiences in the field of social advocacy, counseling and therapy, and working with people that struggle to overcome adversity throughout different stages of life has taught her the importance of meeting the patient at whatever stage of change they are at and helping them move forward. Her treatment modalities typically focus from a neuro-psych perspective with EMDR therapy, along with utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy. She is EMDR trained and certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Ms. Clayton’s expertise in treating a range of difficulties includes depression, anxiety, trauma / PTSD, stress, anger, fears & phobias, physical pain, or difficulties adjusting to/coping with life transitions. She is trained in the skilled art of EMDR therapy and integrates this world renowned and highly respected evidenced-based neuro approach in her practice. She also often incorporates a unique perspective with mind-body and health psychology into her treatment interventions to tailor needs and personal circumstances. Behavioral health & wellness coaching with mindfulness practices is also offered to Ms. Clayton’s clients including time management, stress management, emotional & mindful eating, exercising at work, healthy dining out, basic nutrition, starting a walking program, and smoking cessation. Tina Clayton’s philosophy is to provide efficacious therapeutic services, advocacy, and community resources to patients to facilitate sustainable long-term changes. No one is perfect, but we all have strengths. To have struggles is not a weakness; it is an incredibly difficult yet empowering moment in your life that you have chosen to take control of. Her goal is to help her patients identify these strengths using various therapeutic interventions and treatments to return them to a stable, happy baseline. |

We are very excited to bring on the well-known Mrs. Gunjani Patel!
Gunjani comes to us with 10+ years of clinical experience. It is quite a special dynamic when admin has an incredible understanding of the clinical world as well. Gunjani has worked with diverse clientèle in a variety of mental health settings. Gunjani received post-graduate training at The Village Family Service Center, a community mental health counseling center in Grand Forks, ND, where she worked with adults, couples, families, and children. Trained in both psychodynamic as well as family systems psychotherapy, she worked with families to identify overall family dynamics, including healthy and unhealthy patterns of interacting, roles, various communication styles, boundaries, and power structures. Gunjani was able to help couples and families by building on their existing strengths, raising awareness about their maladaptive patterns, and teaching them new ways of communicating and interacting. Gunjani has spent several years working with women and children survivors of domestic and sexual abuse at a Community Violence Intervention center where she provided crisis counseling, suicide helpline and support for victims of rape, sexual abuse. Thus giving her exposure to a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health issues from sexual abuse, and domestic abuse, to depression, anxiety, PTSD and C-PTSD which led her to specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). Gunjani has also worked at a private psychiatric facility as a mental health technician and gained knowledge of working with children, adolescents, and geriatric population, recovering from various acute and severe mental health conditions such as personality disorders, severe depression and anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD and PTSD. She enjoys working with all sorts of people who want to do better, feel better, and who often are afraid things cannot get better. |

Dr. Simon Groseclose, better known as Dr. G, has been a resident and practicing chiropractor of the Tampa area since earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer Chiropractic College in Port Orange, Florida. He also earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland with a major in kinesiology under the School of Public Health, special studies with a focus on exercise science and bio-mechanics of the human body. With almost 10 years of hands on experience in the Tampa community, Dr. Groseclose provides a unique individualized patient approach to bring clarity to health. Every patient is different, every source of your pain and symptoms is different, so your treatment plan will reflect that. Dr. Groseclose will personalize what you need to relieve your condition using chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression for disc injuries, and physiotherapy. |
